From out of town and was attending a wedding. I normally have a pretty wild (long) beard from being a tree man, and my hair hadn't been tamed in a while. Kevin (Manager) killed it with the job on my hair and "The Revenant" beard I took him. Thanks for prepping a tree man for a wedding brother! The wife appreciates it as well!
Bad hair cut i have ever had. Tahe fat guy who cuta my hair dont even ask and start cut hair and trimed my hair short than i ever had. They even dont follow the basic hygiene and even dont do a basic cleaning of the chair and floor when switching to new customer.
I thought that this was a pretty good barber shop, I liked house they had both female and male barbers (I’ve had bad experiences with going to barber shops with only females who aren’t as good as cutting boys hair then girls) the barber I had was very nice and funny. Recommend just as so with all other barber shops be clear on what you want.
I have been to His twice so far — and both times, I got great haircuts, from two different lady barbers. I think the staff here really knows what they are doing. Plus, this is a barbershop just like the ones you remember from the good old days: convivial atmosphere, lots of conversation, a few laughs. Depending on when you go there might be a bit of a wait, usually not more than 20 minutes or so — but hanging out with people of different ages, shapes and sizes is part of the pleasure of this place. Prices are fair and reasonable. The owner has created something really special here.
I have been going here (Staples before ownership change) for haircuts with my boys since they were 4 and 6, 13 years now and I’ve always been happy with the haircuts and some of the changes like longer hours and accepting plastic. Recently my 17 year old needed a haircut before junior prom. We arrived at 5:35 pm (they close at 6 pm) and was told they stopped taking customers at 5:30. I said you can’t take him when I’ve been coming here for 13 years. The guy told me they have been working all day and they couldn’t. Ken Staples and his guys would never have done that and understood what it meant to have loyal customers. I have not been back in 2 months and found Wayside barber to be comparable to Staples.
I would not attend this place if you are not an older white dude who has simple, short hair. This place is designed for people who can just get basically a shave - i quickly realized that they were not prepared for a dude with long curly hair. With that being said, while I didn't have a great haircut, I think they have an amazing atmosphere there and i did enjoy my time there. Ultimately while I had one negative experience I wouldn't make a blanket statement about the business as a whole. The business was run by some earnest and nice people blasting classic rock which just made it a fun atmosphere.
Comfortable old school style barbershop. Straight razor shave cream neck shave, experienced barbers with great attitudes. Well worth the price and the short wait!
Billy did a nice job on my head. Price is 26 bucks for a regular haircut. I didn't see the price posted on the website, and it wasn't easy to see inside the shop either (but it is there).
